Classroom Policy, Tutoring & Expectations |
Classroom PoliciesIt is the goal of this school district to provide all students with a conducive and safe environment for learning. Therefore, it is each student’s responsibility to help achieve this goal by extending to each other, as well as to your instructor, the same degree of courtesy and respect that you wish for others to extend to you. It is also each student’s responsibility to arrive to class on time and to maintain a good school attendance record. Violation of classroom policies will be handled according to Instructor & school district policy. TutoringBecause one of the goals of these courses is to help all students find success, your instructor will make arrangements to be available before and after school to provide tutoring if you are having difficulty with a specific course. You are encouraged to make arrangements with your instructor if you need additional help.

Students are responsible for their learning process and should ask questions concerning content material. (Please do not feel a question you have in mind is foolish or stupid, there is a good chance that the person next to you does not understand the material. If there is idle time at the beginning or end of the period, please use this time constructively. (5 minutes a day @ 180 days = 15 hours of wasted time.) Please feel free to come by and discuss schoolwork or personal matters. This might be class work or a gentle ear concerning personal problems that might arise in school, social, or family environments. Remember, I am here to facilitate your academic and personal growth as an individual. Progress in academic and personal settings is a result of your commitment and hard work.
