Extra Credit Policy

For Social 7

There are two ways student can earn extra credit in my class.  I provide the opportunity for both these extra credit assignments.

Non-corrected assignments:

• In the packet on the note page provided or in the notebook
• Students will complete the note taking or vocabulary assignment given in class
• This is not an optional assignment, this is a required assignment
• Each non-corrected homework assignment is worth 20 points
• 5 non-corrected homework assignments = 100 in an extra credit quiz
• earn a 0 if the assignment is not done
• Is required to be done for the period the student has my class

Bell Ringers:

Where do I get them?

• Supplied by Mrs. Trombley daily

What are Bell Ringers?

• Political cartoons to analyze
• Documents to read and answer questions (DBQ)
• Question to answer
• Quote to explain

What do I do with them?

• Complete the task
• Keep in your binder until the end of the week
• On Friday staple all bell ringers for the week together
• PUT YOUR NAME ON THEM                                                         
• Hand them in
• You are responsible for bell ringers when you are absent

Grading:

• 1 completed assignment = all bell ringers done for the week (usually no more than 4 sometimes there will be less)
• 5 completed assignments (1 per week for 5 weeks) =100 bonus quiz
• 10 completed (1 per week for 10 weeks) = two 100 bonus quizzes
• HAND IN EVERY FRIDAY
