Mr.
DeSorbo's 7th Grade Life Science
Web Page

Seventh Grade Science follows the Intermediate-Level
curriculum of
the New
York State Living Environment program.
During
this year students explore many of the basic principles of
Biology,
as well
as Science in general.
Students
practice the Scientific Method and learn about the
characteristics
shared
by all living things and the great diversity that exists
among them.
The main
topics of study during this year are Cell Biology, Genetics,
DNA,
Human
Body Systems, and the 5 main kingdoms of living organisms.
Throughout the year students are challenged with several
laboratory activities to enhance the curriculum and to
provide them an opportunity for real "hands-on" learning.
