Fourth graders from
Mooers & Rouses Point Elementary Schools were visited by
Adirondack Author and Illustrator Sheri Amsel. She has
been coming to our district for many years to educate
our students about animals that live in the
Adirondacks. Her presentation included a slide show
that explained all of the various classes of animals
that live in our region, as well as their habitats and
life cycles. Each class got a “hands on” drawing lesson
that taught each child that they too can draw Adirondack
Animals with ease. Once again, we would like to thank
Ms. Amsel for visiting our school and for taking the
time to enrich our lives with the vast information of
our beautiful region.
